Ahmed Hassan

I'm a Senior in Data Science at ISU, with a focus in Bioinformatics. Data Science combines Statistics, Mathematics, Programming, and a choice of Science (Biology). As part of the ISU curriculum, most of my classes utilize R/RStudio, Python and Java. My aspirations are to gain as much knowledge in computing, machine learning and AI, and utilize these in the health care industry.

I started my college career pursuing Biomedical Engineering, then later switching to Mechanical Engineering. Thankfully, I was able to gain experiences in 2 internships in the Automotive industry, with both Nissan and Toyota, working with cutting technology, and learned a vast amount about automation and computing. 

Currently I'm a Data Science Program Manager for Microsoft, where I'm responsible for Querying Big Data, and creating meaningful Automated Graphs, that help keep track of Key Performance Metrics. I'm super excited to expand my knowledge in R Programming, and apply these skills to Genetic applications with this team! :).
