Madison is a PhD student in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology at Iowa State University. Madison obtained her B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Belmont University. Her research interests are maize genetics and plant breeding. Madison’s current research involves characterizing candidate genes that are important in maize cuticle development.

 

Outside of Madison’s academic career, she enjoys CrossFit, spending time with her five cats, and bike rides.
